What is Bundlex?
Bundlex is a Shopify app that helps you lift average order value (AOV) with volume discounts, BOGO, product bundles, free gifts, and cross-sells. You build an offer once, match it to your products, and Bundlex upsells on your product pages automatically, with no theme edits and no code.
What Bundlex does
Bundlex adds upsell and discount offers to your store and applies them all the way through checkout. The most common offers merchants set up are:
- Quantity breaks (volume or bulk pricing): "buy more, save more" tiers that reward bigger orders.
- BOGO and discounts: Buy X Get Y, percentage off, and fixed-amount discounts.
- Product bundles: fixed sets, cross-sells, and free-gift offers that turn related products into one easy add.
The widget inherits your theme's fonts and colors so it looks on-brand out of the box, and it works alongside Shopify's native discounts.
The three pieces, and how they fit together
Bundlex is made of three parts that work as one system: you configure offers in the dashboard, shoppers choose them on the product page, and the discount is applied at checkout.
1. The product-page widget
The widget is a theme app extension. It renders your offer on the product page, showing the quantity tiers (or bundle, BOGO, or gift offer) and updating the price as the shopper picks an option. Because it ships as a theme app extension, you turn it on without editing Liquid. There are two delivery modes:
- An app embed, which switches the widget on across your theme.
- An app block, which you place at a specific spot on the product template in the theme editor.
2. The checkout cart-discount Function
The actual discount is applied by a Shopify Function at checkout. The widget on the product page handles the selection and the messaging; the Function is what calculates the right price in the cart and at checkout so the totals are correct. This split is why the discount sticks even after a shopper navigates away from the product page.
3. The admin dashboard
The dashboard is embedded directly in your Shopify Admin. It is where you create and edit your offers, choose which products they appear on, style the widget, and publish. It is also where Bundlex reports the revenue your offers drive, so you can see what is working.
The core object: a Bundle deal
Everything in Bundlex is built around a single object: a Bundle deal (a volume discount). A Bundle deal holds an ordered ladder of offers, also called tiers, for example Buy 1, Buy 2, and Buy 3. Each offer in the ladder has its own discount and its own messaging, and shoppers pick one on the product page.
Every offer has a discount type. At a glance, the types are:
- Percentage: a percent off the selling price.
- Discount per item: a fixed amount off each item.
- Exact amount: sets an exact price for the offer.
- Buy X Get Y: a BOGO-style offer.
- Free gift: adds a gift product.
- None: no discount, useful for a baseline tier.
On top of the discount, an offer can carry free gifts, paid cross-sells (called "extras"), and benefit bullets that explain why the offer is worth it. When you publish a Bundle deal, Bundlex maps it to a single Shopify automatic app discount, which is how the saving is applied without the shopper entering a code.
Pricing
Bundlex is currently free to install and use. Pricing can change over time, so for the current plans and what each one includes, see the Bundlex pricing page.
