What happens when I uninstall Bundlex

When you uninstall Bundlex from your Shopify store, the app cleans up after itself automatically. This page explains exactly what changes so there are no surprises with your billing or your storefront.

What happens the moment you uninstall

Shopify notifies Bundlex as soon as the app is removed. Bundlex then does the following automatically:

• The app is marked as uninstalled. Your store record is flagged so Bundlex stops treating it as an active install.
• Any subscription is cancelled. If a subscription record exists for your store, Bundlex cancels it right away, so no further app charges apply.
• Onboarding is reset. Your setup progress is marked as not completed, so you start fresh if you ever reinstall.

What happens to your bundles and discounts

Each published bundle in Bundlex is backed by one Shopify automatic discount that the app creates and manages on your behalf. Because those discounts are owned and managed by Bundlex, your bundles' automatic discounts stop applying at checkout once the app is gone.

If you only want to pause a single bundle rather than turn everything off, unpublish that bundle instead of uninstalling the whole app.

What happens to the storefront widget

The product-page widget is delivered through your theme as an app embed or app block. It stops rendering once either of these is true:

• You turn off or remove the Bundlex app embed, or remove the app block, in your theme.
• The app itself is gone after uninstall.

In other words, customers stop seeing the bundle widget on your product pages once Bundlex is no longer present.

If you reinstall later

You can reinstall Bundlex at any time. Because onboarding was reset on uninstall, you will go through setup again, including turning the app embed back on in your theme and publishing your bundles so their automatic discounts are recreated.

If you uninstalled by accident and your storefront still looks off after reinstalling, check that the Bundlex app embed is enabled in your theme and that your bundles are published.
