The Upsell offer block: add-ons below every offer
The Upsell offer block puts a list of optional products below all of your offers, separate from any single one of them. A customer can tick an add-on and then keep browsing your offers without losing it, which makes it the right place for something that goes with the order regardless of which deal they choose.
Good candidates are gift wrapping, express handling, a warranty, or a small companion product that suits every tier.
This is not the same as upsells on an offer. Those live inside one offer and disappear when the shopper picks a different one. The Upsell offer block sits below everything and survives switching offers.
Set up the block
- Open your bundle and go to the Add-ons tab.
- Switch on Upsell offer.
- Optionally set a Block title, shown as a separator line above the products, for example "Complete your order". Leave it empty to hide the line.
- Click Add product and pick the product you want to offer.
You can add up to 10 products to the block.
Settings for each add-on
- Discount: a percentage, a fixed amount, or an exact price. New add-ons start at 10% off.
- Title and subtitle, if you want wording different from the product's own name.
- Show image, to include the product image on the row.
- Show quantity input, which adds a stepper so shoppers can buy more than one.
- Pre-selected, which starts the row ticked. New add-ons are pre-selected by default, and customers can always opt out.
The block as a whole uses either a Checkbox or a Toggle control, and you can optionally link each product's image and title through to its product page.
How the discount applies
An add-on is discounted as long as any offer from this bundle qualifies in the cart. It doesn't belong to a specific offer, so switching between offers keeps the customer's selection intact and keeps the discount.
If nothing from the bundle qualifies, the add-on is still added to the cart but at its normal price. It never blocks the order or voids the bundle discount.
Which block should you use?
| Upsells on an offer | Upsell offer block | |
|---|---|---|
| Where it's set up | Inside one offer | Add-ons tab, once per bundle |
| Where it shows | Within that offer's card | Below all offer cards |
| Switching offers | The upsell goes away with the offer | Selection is kept |
| Best for | A companion product that only suits one tier | Something that suits the whole order |
You can use both at once. They're independent, and a customer can take an offer upsell and a block add-on in the same order.
At cart and checkout
Add-on lines keep their own product title at checkout rather than inheriting an offer's name, because they don't belong to an offer. You can set a different label per add-on if you prefer. Add-on labels are also the one place where {{product_title}} works at checkout. See setting the discount label shown at checkout.
