Why a bundle fires multiple 'Add to cart' events

If you track Add to cart events in Google Analytics, Meta (Facebook) Pixel, or similar tools, you may notice that adding a single bundle records several Add to cart events at once. This is expected, and it is not double counting a purchase.

Why it happens

A bundle is added to the cart as several line items in one action (for example a Buy 3 offer adds three units). Shopify's tracking fires one add to cart event per line item, so a bundle with three items produces three events in your pixel or analytics tool.

This is how Shopify reports cart events for multi-item adds, not a Bundlex setting, so it affects any app that adds more than one item at a time.

What it means for your data

Customers are charged correctly and orders are recorded normally. Only the front-end cart-event count is inflated. Bundlex's own reporting counts each add once per visit, so your Bundlex analytics are not affected. If exact pixel counts matter, keep this behavior in mind when reading add-to-cart numbers for bundle products.
