Letting customers buy several of the same offer
The quantity selector adds a stepper to your offer cards so a shopper can choose how much they want without leaving the product page. Someone looking at a "Buy 3, save 15%" offer can set the quantity to 4 and get four items at the right price, in one add to cart.
This is Bundlex's own stepper inside the widget. It's not the same as your theme's quantity box above the Add to cart button. For that one, see hiding the theme quantity selector.
Turn it on
- Open your bundle and go to the Add-ons tab.
- Switch on Quantity selector.
- Save and re-publish.
What the number means
It depends on the kind of offer, so that the number always matches how that offer is charged:
- Quantity offers (buy 2, buy 3, buy 5...): the number is how many items the customer buys. Setting it to 7 adds 7 items.
- Bundles: the number is how many complete bundles they buy. Setting it to 2 adds 2 bundles, each with all of its products and gifts.
- "3 for $10" style offers: the number is how many whole deals they buy. Setting it to 2 adds 2 deals, so 6 items.
The discount follows the quantity
On quantity offers the stepper starts at that offer's own quantity, and the customer can go up from there one item at a time. When the quantity reaches your next tier, the selection moves to that tier automatically and the better price applies. Going back down moves it back.
So with tiers of 1, 3 and 5, a customer who picks the single item and steps up to 3 lands on your "Buy 3" deal without having to notice it existed. They always get the best price their quantity has earned.
Free gifts and add-ons are added once
On quantity offers a free gift is added a single time, no matter how high the quantity goes. "Buy 5 or more and get a free gift" gives one gift at 5 items and one gift at 9. Bundles work the other way, because each bundle is a complete set: 2 bundles include 2 of everything, gifts included.
Choosing which offers show the stepper
With the quantity selector on, a Show on: list appears with one checkbox per offer. Untick an offer and its card no longer shows a stepper - the card stays clickable as a fixed quantity.
A common setup is to tick only your last offer, so the first tiers are simple one-click choices and the last one is open ended: "Buy 5 or more" where the customer picks the exact amount.
Hiding a stepper only changes what the customer sees. It never changes what checkout charges: if the quantity passes a hidden tier, that tier's discount still applies.
Offers that don't get a stepper
Some offers show no stepper even when the setting is on. Buy X Get Y offers never get one, and neither does an offer that has a free gift attached unless it's your highest quantity tier. The Show on: list marks these as unavailable so you can see which ones they are.
Settings you can't combine it with
The quantity selector can't be switched on while the bundle uses any of these. The dashboard names the one that's blocking it:
- Subscriptions.
- A gift selector anywhere in the discount.
- Limit discount to offer quantity.
- Count each variant separately.
- Any Buy X Get Y offer in the discount.
Each of these changes how quantities are counted or priced in a way the stepper would contradict, so they're mutually exclusive rather than merely discouraged.
Progressive gifts do work with it
Progressive gifts are compatible. Unlocks are checked against the chosen quantity, so raising it can unlock a gift. The gift quantity itself stays the same and doesn't multiply.
Add-on products have their own stepper
Products in the Upsell offer block have a separate Show quantity input option per product, using the same stepper. That one is independent of this setting and isn't affected by the restrictions above.
If your discount was created before August 2026
Older discounts use the original behavior, where the number multiplies the offer instead of counting items: on a "Buy 3" offer, picking 2 adds 6 items. Nothing changed for them.
To move a discount to the newer behavior, open it and use Selector behavior under the Quantity selector setting. Two things worth knowing before you do:
- The switch is one way. Once you save it, the old behavior is no longer offered.
- If your offer titles mention quantities, re-read them afterwards. "Buy 3" with the old behavior meant sets of three; with the new one the customer simply picks how many they want.
Discounts you create now already use the newer behavior, and show no such setting.
Before you turn it on
- Preview it. The preview in the editor steps exactly like the storefront does, so you can see what the customer will see.
- Place a test order at a quantity that crosses one of your tiers, and confirm the total at checkout matches what the widget showed.
