How to show a product set with 'Display as bundle'

The Display as bundle toggle shows the current product as its own product card inside an offer, presented together with that offer's cross-sells. Instead of a plain quantity tier, customers see the main product and its add-ons grouped as a set.

What "Display as bundle" does

Every offer in a bundle deal can carry paid cross-sells, the "extras" you add to the offer. By default an offer is a quantity tier with a title, price, and an optional product image. When you turn on Display as bundle, the offer also includes the main product as a card alongside those cross-sells, so the offer reads as a curated set rather than a single line.

This is a presentation setting. It does not change the discount type, the required quantity, or the pricing math. Those are configured separately on the offer (discount type, discount amount, and quantity), and they are unaffected by this toggle.

When to use it

Reach for Display as bundle when an offer pairs the main product with cross-sells you want shown together, like "this jacket plus a matching scarf and gloves." Showing them as cards makes the grouping obvious and nudges customers toward the whole set.

Stick with a plain volume tier when the offer is really about buying more of the same product (Buy 1 / Buy 2 / Buy 3) and there are no cross-sells to show, or when you prefer the cleaner single-line tier look. A plain tier is the better default for straightforward quantity discounts.

  • Use Display as bundle: the offer includes cross-sells and you want the main product shown as a card beside them.
  • Use a plain volume tier: the offer is a quantity ladder with no cross-sells, or you prefer the compact tier layout.

Turn it on

  1. Open your bundle deal in the Bundlex dashboard and edit the offer you want to change.
  2. In the offer editor, find the Display as bundle card and switch it on.
  3. Choose a Layout, either Stacked or Grid (see below).
  4. If you pick Grid, set the desktop and mobile column counts.
  5. Add the cross-sells you want shown alongside the main product, then save.

Layout: Stacked vs Grid

Once the toggle is on, you choose how the cards are arranged.

  • Stacked is the default layout. It has no column settings.
  • Grid arranges the cards into columns. When you choose Grid, two extra fields appear so you can set the number of columns separately for desktop and mobile.

Desktop and mobile columns

The column fields only appear when the layout is set to Grid. Each one accepts a value from 1 to 6 and defaults to 2 columns on both desktop and mobile. Setting them independently lets you show, for example, more columns on a wide desktop screen and fewer on a narrow phone screen so the cards stay readable.

How it works with cross-sells and gifts

Display as bundle works together with the offer's cross-sells: the main product is presented alongside the cross-sells you have attached to that offer, which is what creates the bundle-style layout. Free gifts and benefit bullets are configured separately on the offer and are not affected by this setting.

Because this toggle changes presentation only, your discount type, required quantity, and totals stay exactly as you set them.
