Making your theme's price follow the selected bundle

Your theme prints its own product price near the top of the product page, above or beside the Bundlex widget. Normally that number stays put no matter which bundle a customer picks, which can look like the page is ignoring their choice. Update theme product price makes that number follow the selected offer.

With it on, picking "Buy 3, save 15%" replaces the theme's price with the bundle total for three items, and puts a struck-through original beside it where your theme has somewhere to show one.

This is a display change only. Bundlex never sends this setting to checkout, and customers are charged the exact bundle amount regardless of what the theme shows.

Where to find it

1. Open the bundle you want to edit.
2. Go to the Advanced tab.
3. Tick Update theme product price.

What gets written

The number written is the bundle total for the selected offer, the same figure shown on the offer card. Bundled cross-sells are included in that total. Upsells and add-ons are priced separately and are never rolled into it.

What happens to the compare-at price beside it depends on the offer:

• Discounted offer: the struck-through total is written beside the new price, so the saving reads correctly.
• Multi-item offer with no discount: the compare-at is hidden, because showing one would imply a saving that isn't there.
• No offer selected: your theme's own price and compare-at are left exactly as they were.

If your theme has no separate element for a compare-at price, both values are written into the price element together.

Sale badges

While the price is showing a bundle total, your theme's sale badges ("Sale", "-20%") are hidden. Those badges describe the single-item price, so leaving them visible next to a bundle total would contradict it. They come back as soon as the price returns to normal. Badges elsewhere on the page, such as on recommended product cards, are untouched.

If the price doesn't change

Bundlex has to find your theme's price element, and themes differ enormously in how they build that part of the page. It works out of the box on most themes, but not all.

Check the obvious things first:

1. Confirm the setting is ticked and the bundle has been re-published since you ticked it.
2. Reload the product page with a hard refresh so you aren't looking at a cached version.
3. Check on a product where the widget itself is definitely showing.

If it still doesn't move, contact Bundlex support with your store URL and a link to the product page. Support can point Bundlex at the exact price element in your theme, which resolves nearly every case. This is a setting only support can apply, so it isn't something you need to hunt for in the dashboard.

If the wrong number changes

Occasionally Bundlex picks a price element that isn't the main product price, for example one inside a sticky bar or a nearby card. Report it to support the same way, with a link to the page and a note about which number moved. The fix is the same: pointing Bundlex at the right element for your theme.

Nothing is permanently altered in your theme. The original price is restored when the customer deselects the offer, navigates away, or the widget is removed, and turning the setting off returns the page to your theme's normal behavior.

Things worth knowing

Some themes repaint the price back

A few themes rewrite their own price a moment after Bundlex updates it, usually right after a variant change. Bundlex re-applies the value shortly after each update to cover this. If your theme repaints later than that, the price can briefly revert until the next time the customer changes their selection. The number shown is always a correct price, just possibly the theme's own rather than the bundle total.

Subscriptions and selling plans

If a customer selects a subscription or other selling plan that Bundlex doesn't manage, the theme price is restored and left alone for as long as that plan is selected. The plan has its own pricing, and showing a one-time bundle total above it would be misleading.

It combines with your rounding setting

If Show prices as whole numbers is also on, the synced theme price is rounded the same way as the rest of the widget, so the two never disagree.

Test it before you rely on it

Because the result depends on your theme, check it on your live storefront after publishing. Pick each offer in turn and confirm the price above the widget matches the offer card, then remove your selection and confirm the original price comes back.
